SpiceMyStory is a personalised romance novel company based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide when ordering from us.
When you place an order we collect: your name and email address, delivery address, payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details), and the personalisation details you provide for your book (character names, memories, dedication message, and preferences).
We use your information to process and fulfil your order, send you order confirmation and tracking updates, and respond to any questions or issues you raise. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your personalisation details for any purpose other than producing your book.
We retain your order information for 7 years as required by UK tax law. Your personalisation details are retained for 12 months after your order in case of reprints, then securely deleted.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the ICO. To exercise any of these rights contact us at hello@spicemystory.co.uk.
